Waterscape is committed to understanding the complex interactions between humans, water, and ecosystems, intending to develop innovative and practical solutions to address challenges primarily related to water resource and flood risk management.
Our working philosophy is based on integrating knowledge from various disciplines, including hydrology, ecology, and environmental engineering. We firmly believe in the importance of interdisciplinary approach to develop new fields of practice, tackling the complex challenges related to water sustainability.
In this sense, Waterscape is an open and adaptive space of research dedicated to the multiple dimensions water, and its management, can have. Indeed, water is not merely a resource, but a complex entity intertwined with social, ecological, and economic dynamics. Therefore, we aim at innovating across various aspects of water-related issues, exploring the multiple services (or disservices ) water can produce flowing in a landscape and interacting with the terrestrial ecosystems.
